One classroom. Every time zone.
BOROA is an online Cambridge IGCSE academy. Small live classes with qualified teachers for students in Years 9 to 11, wherever they live.
When does class start for you?
Every lesson runs on one timetable in GMT. Here’s the same lesson in each city.
A real school, without the walls
Your child gets a timetable, a teacher who knows their name, homework that gets marked and a clear path to their Cambridge exams. What they don’t get is a long commute or a classroom limited to who lives nearby.
- Live teaching on a fixed timetable, not just videos
- Progress reports for parents every term
- Help finding an exam centre near you and registering on time
- Mock exams under real timed conditions
- A named safeguarding lead and strict online safety rules
Classmates from everywhere
One BOROA class can bring together students from Kuala Lumpur, Hyderabad, Dubai, Nairobi and Lagos, all learning at the same moment with the same teacher. Different countries, one classroom.
- Malaysia
- India
- The Gulf
- East Africa
- West Africa
- UK

Our safeguarding promiseTeach with BOROA
We’re recruiting our founding faculty: qualified IGCSE teachers who love small classes and can teach from anywhere.

How BOROA works
A proper school timetable, delivered live online, built around the time zones our families live in.
A school week
Each subject meets two or three times a week for 60 to 75 minutes. Homework is set after every lesson and marked within a week. Every lesson is recorded and available for 12 months.
- Up to 12 students per class
- Cameras on for discussion and checking understanding
- Weekly homework with written feedback
- Termly report and parent meeting
- Full mock exams twice a year
Timetable blocks
All times are set in GMT. We’ve converted them to your local time below.

Getting started
Enrol online
A parent creates the account and we verify your identity. Then you add your child, choose subjects and give consent.
Placement check
A short online check and a call with our admissions team confirm the right year group and class.
Orientation
Your child gets their login, meets their teachers and learns how lessons, homework and online safety work.
Lessons begin
Live classes on the timetable, with recordings, homework and progress tracking in the student and parent portals.
What your child needs
A laptop or tablet
With a camera and microphone. A phone is fine for watching recordings but not for live lessons.
Stable internet
At least 5 Mbps. Lessons are recorded, so a dropped connection never means a missed lesson.
A quiet space
Somewhere calm and suitable for a camera, not a bedroom where possible.
Fees
Simple, transparent pricing, billed monthly or by term. No registration fee for founding families.
Cambridge exam entry fees are charged by your local exam centre and are not included. Siblings receive a discount.
Paying and refunds
Pay by card in your local currency. Monthly fees are taken at the start of each month. If you cancel within the first 14 days, you get a full refund for lessons not yet taken. After that, give one month’s notice. Full terms are in our Terms and Conditions.
Founding family pricing
Families who enrol in our first cohort keep their founding price for the whole two-year course.
Start enrolmentSitting your Cambridge exams
Cambridge exams are always taken in person at an approved exam centre. We help every family find one nearby and register on time.
How it works
While BOROA is applying to become a registered Cambridge school, our students sit exams as private candidates. That’s a normal, fully recognised route: the certificate is exactly the same.
- We give you a list of centres that accept private candidates in your country
- We remind you before every registration deadline
- We prepare your child with full mock exams
- We help with access arrangements for students who need them
A typical year
New school year and IGCSE courses begin.
Winter mock exams and reports.
Usual deadline to register for May/June exams. We remind you from January.
Spring mock exams.

There’s also an October/November series. Deadlines vary by centre, so always check with yours.
Our teachers
We’re building our founding faculty now. Profiles will appear here as teachers join.
Who teaches at BOROA
Every BOROA teacher is a subject specialist with experience teaching the Cambridge syllabus, chosen for how well they teach, not just what they know.
- Degree in their subject and a teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE
- Two references checked, including their last employer
- Criminal record and child protection checks in every country they’ve lived in
- A recorded demonstration lesson before they’re hired
Keeping students safe
Your child’s safety comes before everything else we do. Here’s exactly how we protect students online.
Our promise to parents
- Every adult who works with students is background checked before their first lesson
- Lessons happen only on our platform, never on personal apps or social media
- Every live lesson is recorded and reviewed when a concern is raised
- Private messages between students, and between teachers and students, are switched off
- A named Designated Safeguarding Lead handles every concern, the same day
- Students learn about online safety from their first week
Raise a concern
This goes straight to our Designated Safeguarding Lead. You don’t need to be sure. If you’re worried, tell us.

About BOROA
BOROA stands for Borderless Online Academy. We believe a great teacher shouldn’t be limited to the students who live nearby.
Why we exist
Families move between countries, live far from good international schools, or simply want more for their children than the local options offer. Online learning was meant to fix this, but too often it means recorded videos and no real teacher.
BOROA is a real school, delivered online: live teachers, a timetable, classmates, marked work and Cambridge qualifications, for students wherever they live.
Our logo
The first O in BOROA is an open ring with a dot breaking free. The ring is the old classroom wall. The gap is the way through. The dot is your child.
What we value
Teaching first
Technology serves the lesson, never the other way round.
Safety always
Clear rules, checked staff and parents who know what’s happening.
Every student known
Small classes so no one hides behind a muted microphone.
